You know those days when you're knackered and the only thing you want to do after having woken up at 11 is just going to sleep again? Thing is, thoughts about loads of different things keep bombarding my mind, so I think it would be no use to close my eyes and try to relax. You don't realise how difficult it is to do basic things and have everything well organised until you've got to do it on your own. I don't want to think how hard it will be once I start attending classes everyday, with all the coursework, the shopping, laundry....gosh, isn't there a guide on how to be an adult, or at least partly independent? Honestly, I'm thinking of dropping everything and just going on holiday to a tropical island or something. LOL...Just kidding (for now)
By the way, the other day I stumbled across a paragraph in a book called "Fahnrenheit 451" that got me thinking. I'm reading it in Spanish, so here goes a poorly translated version: " leaving the nursery to go to the university and then come back to the nursery. That has been the intellectual training during the last five centuries". The book was written by Ray Bradbury, and tells the story of a fireman living in an alternative world where books are burnt to prevent people from "suffering", they say, and where the human relationships are cold and superficial, kind of. If you're interested, just read the summary on the Internet. You'll probably understand the story much better.
P.S. Para los que no entienden muy bien el inglés, escribiré la próxima entrada en castellano :)
